Newborn photos are a once-in-a-lifetime investment—these tiny details and fleeting moments can never be recreated once they’re gone. Most families invest between $725–$2,000, which includes the session fee, image selections, and optional heirloom album. While the investment varies, the memories preserved are truly priceless.

The best time to book a maternity session is when you’re between 28–34 weeks pregnant. Here’s why this window is the sweet spot:

1. Your belly is beautifully round and clearly visible.
2. You’re usually still comfortable enough to move, stand, and pose
3. There’s less risk of swelling or early delivery compared to later weeks

Booking tip (important!):

I always recommend booking your maternity session early in your second trimester (around 18–22 weeks) to secure your preferred date—especially if you’re aiming for golden hour or a weekend session.

For newborn sessions, the best time to photograph is when baby is 5–14 days old. This is the sweet spot because:

1. Baby is still very sleepy and easy to pose. Also, when baby is in deep sleep, it is safer in certain pose.
2. They naturally curl into those cozy, womb-like positions
3. Less fussiness, baby acne, and sensitivity

Booking tip (super important):

Newborn sessions should be booked during your second trimester. I pencil in your session based on your due date, then once baby arrives, you simply let me know and we’ll lock in the exact date within that 5–14 day window.

Before your session, I’ll send you a short questionnaire to get a sense of your style preferences, favorite colors, and anything meaningful you’d like included for your family. We’ll also schedule a quick FaceTime chat to go over outfit options. From there, you can choose the perfect colors and styles for your baby, while I help guide you so everything ties together beautifully.

This is a very hard question to give an exact answer. honest answer is, it depends on your baby. Every little one is unique, so I can’t give you an exact timeframe. On average, sessions last 2–3 hours. This allows plenty of time for feeding, soothing, diaper changes, and breaks as needed. I always work at your baby’s pace, making sure they are comfortable and relaxed throughout the session.

Just your baby and an area for me to setup my mini temporary studio for the session. I will provide everything else for baby.

I usually arrive a little early, around 8:30AM, to get everything set up so the session can start smoothly at 9:00 AM. From my experience, babies are generally happiest and most cooperative in the morning. In the afternoon, some little ones go through their “witching hour,” which can make things trickier, so morning sessions help ensure a relaxed and smooth experience for everyone.

For a family session, try to declutter as much as possible—basically, if you wouldn’t want it in the picture, put it away. Pick a spot with lots of natural sunlight if you can, since that really helps make the photos glow.

For a newborn session, I’ll need an open space—about 7x7 feet or more is ideal. Don’t worry about sunlight for this part because I bring my own lighting. The more room we have, the easier it is for me to pre-set everything so the session flows smoothly and we can capture all those little moments without rushing.

Raw files are unprocessed and not representative of the final image quality. Editing is an essential part of the creative process and allows me to deliver images that are consistent, professional, and meant to be treasured for years to come.

I know how excited you are to see your images! A small preview will be shared within 24-48 hours, with the full gallery delivered within 3–4 weeks.

Family and sibling participation is included in our Premium Pack, which is designed to capture everyone together and preserve those special, once-in-a-lifetime moments as a family. This package allows time and space to thoughtfully photograph parents and siblings alongside your newborn, ensuring these meaningful connections are beautifully documented.

Your baby’s health and safety are always the priority. If your baby or anyone in your household is unwell, please let me know as soon as possible. We’ll reschedule your session to the next available date once everyone is feeling better.

Some baby outfits are available for your session, but we recommend bringing an extra outfit just in case your little one doesn’t fit in the provided clothing.

Don’t forget a clean set of clothes for parents, too—you’ll likely get a little messy!

For your child’s safety and to avoid any allergy concerns, we ask that you provide the cake for the session. Try to avoid dark-colored frosting unless you don’t mind a little staining.
